A Reflection on Building Physicians Law, P.A.
Robyn Styndor, standing proud after 11 years of Physicians Law, P.A.
Eleven years ago, I took a leap.
It was 2013, and I was standing at the edge of something I had been quietly building toward for years. A legal career grounded in healthcare, a deep understanding of medicine and compliance, and a passion for helping physicians and healthcare providers navigate the complicated legal system. All led me to one pivotal decision: I wanted to start my own law firm.
Physicians Law, P.A. was born from a simple but bold idea: that doctors, nurses, and medical professionals deserve legal advocacy from someone who truly understands both sides of the exam room and the courtroom. It was a big risk. I was walking away from security and predictability to build something of my own. There were moments of doubt, sleepless nights, and the slow, painstaking work of getting my first few clients through the door.
But now, 11 years later, I can say it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I am so proud of what I have built.
Starting my own firm wasn’t just a professional milestone, but a deeply personal one. It meant standing up for myself and trusting my instincts. I was going to be betting on my ability to create something that didn’t exist in quite the same way before. I wasn’t trying to build a big-name firm. I was trying to build a trusted place where healthcare professionals could come for guidance, protection, and partnership.
Over the years, I've worked with so many incredible clients. From doctors facing board investigations to hospitals navigating complex regulatory issues, or even practices building smart, compliant business models from the ground up. I’ve learned something from each of them, and I carry their stories with me in the work I continue to do.
Physicians Law, P.A. has grown alongside me. It’s evolved as the healthcare landscape has changed. It's become more agile, more focused, and more committed than ever to standing up for those who spend their lives caring for others.
Looking back, I’m proud. I have built trust and we’ve worked very hard to earn it.
If you’ve been part of this journey—whether as a client, colleague, friend, or supporter—thank you! This firm was built with a lot of heart, a lot of grit, and a deep belief in doing the right thing.
Here’s to 11 years—and the road ahead.
With gratitude,
Robyn Sztyndor
